Almost Famous Part 2

In case, you haven’t read, here’s Almost Famous Part 1. ^^
sikat My class, 9b of Oeyer Ungdomsskole, is on the newspaper this day. Sammenslaaing means merging 3 communities (Oeyer, Lillehammer and Gausdal.) And we are against it. There are reasons why, of course. (But I don’t want to elaborate ‘em here.)

This picture, believe it or not, has an issue. The newspaper was passed around the class and as it went to the last person, there are drawings on our faces. It was really funny for us and nobody even reacted badly! But the teachers were like “investigating” now because the face of my classmate from Germany was like of Hitler’s — and the teachers think that it’s not a good thing. Considering that the German guy didn’t even react, ugh, IDK with the teachers, they’re just crazy. *ngek*

Yesterday, I spent like 4 hours deleting Friendster “friends” I really don’t know. From about 800 friends, it went down to about 300! *omg* So now, I won’t be accepting strangers on my account. I’ll be deleting old photos and upload new ones later.

I ate an imported (of course) Vietnamese hot and sour noodles. I loved it. I asked my bro to buy me one in the city. I went photoshopping too! Heheh. :) Click to enlarge pictures.

We just had English, Green hours, Social Studies, Norwegian, Math and English. Such a boring day. Really. It’s so not nice. *sneer*
Tomorrow is Friday and I’m happy it’s weekend again. Days go by really fast. I gotta return comments and I’m watching Fantasy Couple. Bye! *heart*

conquering fears…

posted January 30, 2008 under drama

…is one of the hardest thing to do in life. And I am proud that today, I did conquer one of my fears. Surprisingly.

Today was such a great day. We had Cooking for 3 hours. We had soup, omelette with salad and chocolate muffins. Disturbing our cooking class, we, 9B, had a small picture-taking for the newspaper. After those 3 hours, we had our lunch break. But instead of eating, we prepared ourselves because we are going to ski in Hafjell. I was excited yet scared. It’s my first time to go Slalom skiing.
Our school had a deal with Hafjell which is meters away from the building. Students from our school will have to go to Hafjell 6 times with free ski rentals and all.
Here’s Hafjell, by the way. The pride of ??yer.

I was with HS and K. At first, we tried the middle area. We should take the single-seat lift to go up. It was embarrassing that I can’t catch the seat. *ngek* I also fell down going off the lift. When we were about to go down the hill, my fear aroused. I cried. *sigh* It was really embarrassing. People saw me crying! WTH is that, right? Teachers came and my friends tried to comfort me. A teacher helped me to go down the hill. We went to the lowest hill (actually for children) and I had a free ski lessons from my teacher. *ngek* I went down the hill skiing about 3 times with him. We took a break and rode in a cable car all the way up. When I was at the top, I can see the whole community. Such a nice view. We talked and drank water at the cafeteria and rode back down. With great courage, I joined my friends at the lowest hill and I tried to skied by myself. I managed to go down the hill twice all by myself! (Though my last try, I fell down but not that hard.)

I was really really proud of myself. When I cried, I told myself, “Are you just gonna let it that way?”
When we fall, it do hurts, but we stand up. Crying doesn’t mean we’re weak. Matter fact, it just shows how brave we are to accept our failures. And for me, I don’t want to end up crying and accepting my failures… I’d rather fall again and again than feeling sorry for myself and soon regretting not to try. :)
